Hello! I’m Jane. Come on in. It’s nice to have you drop by. Pull up a chair (move over, kitty!) and hang out a while. What do you need to know about me? Let’s see…I’m not young, but I’m not old either. My life was formed by many interesting people and experiences, just like yours was.
My childhood was spent in the lazy Mississippi River town of Hannibal, Missouri. Facts and fables about Mark Twain (who also spent his growing-up years there) continually stirred my imagination and my love of words. Passion for both reading and writing gripped me early on and still holds me captive today.
I became a Jesus girl way back when I was a kid. He’s been the anchor of my life ever since I can remember. He’s always walked beside me and has rescued me from trouble more times than I can count! His love is everything to me and affects me deeply every day.
Words have always fascinated me. I’ve played with them and worked with them forever, it seems. The first poem I ever wrote was on a Saturday night at about 10:30 when I was ten years old. I was almost asleep when suddenly the verses started rising up inside me. I grabbed a tablet and pen along with a flashlight and my very first poem was born.
The next morning I shared it in Sunday School. Ever since then, I’ve known I was a writer.
I have continued to write over the next almost six decades. I worked as an editor and ghostwriter for a Christian publishing house for six years, then continued freelancing for another 13 years. Today I’m still writing my own works as well as continuing to help other Christian authors prepare their books and stories for publishing.
After having lived and worked in California and Alabama, I am now back home in my native Missouri. The Ozarks are my stomping grounds and I love being in this place! Please join me as I share my daily life adventures here. You’ll enjoy a front-row seat and watch how my life flows along.
God bless and talk with you soon,
Jane.
